Attorney at Law
We are always looking for well-trained and motivated attorneys at law. Our colleagues are the key to providing our clients with high-quality advice. If you are interested in challenging legal work and want to display your personal initiative as part of an entrepreneurial and dedicated environment, then we are the right employer for you. We give you the chance to collaborate in legal areas that match your skills and preferences. In addition, we offer you outstanding opportunities for training and continuing education. We will actively support you in developing your carrier as an attorney with our firm. After a short familiarization period, you will come into direct contact with clients and handle assignments independently. By cooperating successfully in our team, you can benefit from the expertise of the more experienced attorneys at law. In this way, you will soon acquire skills that will set you apart as an attorney at law in a dynamic environment. We expect you to have a confident demeanor and excellent oral communication skills. Because our clients do business both in Switzerland and abroad, foreign language skills (especially in English and French) are especially welcome. If you are interested in the possibility of working with us, we look forward to receiving a phone call or a complete application from you.
Legal Internship (6 months)
A legal internship of at least six months must be completed with an attorney at law before the lawyers’ examination can be taken in the Canton of Solothurn. Every year, we offer two well-trained and motivated legal trainees the opportunity to do their legal internship at our firm (beginning in January or July). From the outset, we enable you, working with experienced attorneys at law, to come into contact with clients and even to assist them independently. By doing this, you learn the lawyer’s handicraft from the ground up and are thus prepared in the best way possible for the lawyers’ examinations. Your daily work will quickly match that of an attorney at law. Furthermore, an internship can serve as the first step toward a long-term position at our firm. Internships with our firm are available to graduates with a superior grade point average. Excellent teamwork skills, commitment and personal initiative are prerequisites. Foreign language skills (particularly in English and French) are likewise important. If you are interested in the possibility of working with us, we look forward to receiving a phone call or a complete application from you, even a few months before you complete your studies.
Trainee (4 weeks)
Studying law gives you very limited insight into the actual work performed by an attorney at law. For this reason, we offer you the opportunity to complete a short-term internship at our law firm. This internship normally lasts four weeks and can be done in January-February or August-September. Both the duration and start date can be determined on an individual basis. During your internship with us, you will experience firsthand what it means to work as an attorney at law. From the very first day, you will be integrated into our work with clients. You may attend meetings with clients and accompany our experienced attorneys at law to court hearings. You will handle contracts and other legal documents, also under the guidance of our experienced attorneys. A bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite for participating in our trainee program. Foreign language skills are also important. If you are interested in this opportunity, we look forward to receiving a phone call or a complete application from you.
Orientation Week (1 week)
We offer high school students and graduates in the last week of September the chance to participate in a one-week orientation program. This is a one-time opportunity to gain insight into the work of an attorney at law before starting a program of legal studies. If you are interested in this opportunity, we look forward to receiving a phone call or a complete application from you.
Law Office Apprenticeship for Commercial Employees
We offer students an apprenticeship as a commercial employee in a law office. At our firm, you will experience a wide range of work in a dynamic environment. We expect you to have successfully completed secondary level education I (section E), possess excellent communication and teamwork skills and that you enjoy interacting with people. We look forward to receiving a phone call from you and telling you about the next apprenticeship openings.
